- Native OLEDB Data Access:
iisPROTECT uses native OLEDB data access for both the filter and
administration for maximum performance. iisPROTECT can be
utilized with Access or high end SQL server systems. Using SQL
server is ideal for web farm implementations as multiple frontend web
servers running iisPROTECT can retrieve data from a common
database. During authentication related database access OLEDB was benchmarked
and shown to be 300% faster than the same access via ADO.
- High Performance Cache Structure:
A self tuning cache structure ensures that information is loaded from
memory after the first access. For example, if an user logs in,
the first authentication will hit the database but subsequent hits
will be handled from the cache.
- Event Notification Efficiency:
The minimum event notifications are used in any given operation.
iisPROTECT intelligently disables notifications to enhance performance
of actions which don't require them. No matter which features
you are using you can be confident you have the best performance.
- Native C++ ISAPI: iisPROTECT was
developed from the ground up using VC++ 6 without the use of
performance sapping extensions such as MFC.
The bottom line is that iisPROTECT is upto 350% faster than competitive
products. (testing completed on a multiprocessor web server running
Windows 2000 Server,
using the MS web stress tools on 3 client machines each with multiple
simulated clients)
